Wilf Cain

Wilf Cain, who became the District Administrator of the Greater Victoria Little League, had competed in pretty well all team sports during his playing days. He was then involved in establishing numerous minor sports programmes in the Duncan and Nanaimo areas before moving to Victoria. By 1970 he had 15 seasons of Little League administration under his belt and was the first Canadian to serve on the International Board of Directors. During the off-season, Wilf was also greatly involved in the Vancouver Island basketball scene. He held positions as president of B.C. Basketball, chairman of Greater Victoria Basketball and director of the Canadian Basketball Association. He also organized a Community Basketball League in the Richmond - Lansdowne area.
