Together with the Victoria Harbourcats Foundation, we announce a charity slow pitch softball Game, featuring the Greater Victoria First Responders taking on the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame on Jul. 9.

This exciting event will take place at Wilson's Royal Athletic Park on Sunday, Jul. 9, with gates open one hour prior to game time , which is at 1:05 pm.

The charity slow pitch aims to bring together the Greater Victoria community while supporting local heroes and honoring the remarkable achievements of the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame inductees. Guest participants include the Canadian Armed Forces sea, land, and air personnel who are well-equipped and ready for operations at home and abroad. This fun-filled family event promises to be an action-packed day of friendly competition, entertainment, and community engagement.

The Greater Victoria First Responders, comprise, of courageous firefighters, dedicated police officers, and other emergency personnel will showcase their athletics prowess on the slow-pitch softball field. These brave men and women put their lives on the line every day to keep our community safe, and this event allows the public to show their appreciation while enjoying an entertaining sporting spectacle.

Facing off against the Greater Victoria First Responders will be members and representatives of the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame. The pool of representatives has the potential to span a variety of members in the community's sporting world not limited to Olympic and professional athletes, champion builders past and present board members from a variety of sports. Over 230 athletes, teams, coaches, officials, builders, and media personalities have been inducted into the GVSHOF since 1991. This group has made outstanding contributions and has left an indelible mark on the Greater Victoria region, inspiring generations to come. The GVSHOF team is poised to bring their competitive spirit, skill, and camaraderie to the game.

Wilsons Royal Athletic Park, known for its vibrant atmosphere and first-class facilities will serve as the perfect backdrop for this momentous event. Spectators can anticipate an engaging atmosphere with live music, delicious food concessions, and activities for fans of all ages.

In addition to being a thrilling event, the Charity Softball Game will raise funds for the Victoria Harbourcats Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to supporting youth sports programs, community initiatives, and charitable causes in the Greater Victoria area. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit these worthy endeavors, ensuring that local youth have access to quality sporting opportunities, and underserved members of the community receive vital assistance.

Tickets for the Charity Softball Game can be purchased online at Select your Tickets, or at the Wilsons Royal Athletic Park box office. Prices: All seats, all sections, $20 for Adults, $10 for Children, 12 and under. Reserved seats as Normal in reserved sections.

Victoria enjoys a stellar sports history and we celebrate the many athletes, teams and builders who have contributed to that history.  Our displays are seen at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre (1925 Blanshard St.)  through Gate Three.
